Have an option to 'Make a TOC' of sub-sections
It would be nifty to have an option to 'Make a TOC' (Table of Contents) of sub-sections (any separator with a label), so you could go down to them with a single click. You'd have an option in the options:fieldsets: block (or somewhere) to identify whether or not to include a TOC for that fieldset.
Here's a sample of how the options: would look, adding a TOC for the Navigation fieldset:
options:
fieldsets:
global_options_set:
label: "Global Options"
order: 1
language:
label: "Language"
order: 2
navigation_set:
label: "Navigation"
toc: 1
order: 3
recent_updates_set:
label: "Recent Updates"
order: 4
I imagine it would work like the wiki one, which would float the Table of Contents to the right.
We could either use the option_id or the normalize the label :
separator_site_search:
type: separator
label: 'Site Search'
hint: 'Configure Site Search box: "Site Search URL" is required, but collection, front-end & proxystylesheet parameters are optional.'
order: 17
fieldset: global_options_set
The anchovy name could be parsed from either the option_id #separator_site_search or converted from the label Site Search to #SiteSearch.

Hey Clay. Please accept our apologies for not responding until now. I'm going through the system looking for straggler posts like this one and wanted to know if this issue is still relevant for you. If so, please let me know so I can bump it up on our radar.
Once again, sorry to have dropped the ball. We aim to do better in the future.

Not a problem.
Suggestions made in this system are really just 'ideas' for your benefit. Generally they are (hopefully!) relatively simple to implement, and yet provide great benefit (like the suggestion to add 'Theme Documentation' and 'Templates' links to the 'Design' menu, even though they are in the Theme Dashboard...).
These are not specific requests for support.
Cheers!
Clay

BTW, this is a Config Assistant request right? If that's the case, I'm going to transfer it over to the more appropriate place: the Lighthouse project for Config Assistant. You should feel free to put future feature requests there as well.

Jesus & Faisal,
Is it possible we're seeing a weird problem related to load balancing (see thread below)? Or is this not relevant?

I wouldn't think so because regardless of the front end the load balancer sent you to the MySQL database and connection strings are identical. We can be assured they are identical as everything sits on NFS shares.
